Privacy Policy

Effective 27 October 2026

Pocketwise keeps everything on your device. It has no account, sends nothing over the internet, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.

What the app stores

To remember where you are in the course, Pocketwise saves on your device:

  • your lesson grades and final exam result, and the optional name you type for your diploma;
  • your Ticks, the felts, rims, markers and study aids you have unlocked, and the pins you have lit;
  • study figures such as answers given and simulated spins run;
  • your Lighting Desk settings (sound effects, haptics, display).

These live in the app's own storage on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them.

What the app does not do

  • It does not collect personal information, contacts, location, photos or device identifiers.
  • It makes no network requests and contains no third-party code, analytics or advertising.
  • It asks for no permissions.
  • It handles no payment details: there are no purchases of any kind and no real money is involved.

The diploma name

If you type a name on the diploma screen, it is kept only on your device so the diploma can show it. You can change or clear it at any time.

Keeping and deleting data

Your progress stays until you reset it on the Lighting Desk or delete the app. Deleting Pocketwise removes everything it stored.

Age

Pocketwise explains a casino game and is rated for adults (18+). It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
